Escape From Gaza

In June 2007, the Hamas Islamic Organisation took power in the Gaza Strip after a surprising and violent coup d’état. After taking over power, Israel tightened its hand on this small territory of 360 km2 populated by almost 1.5 million people. On the morning of January 23rd 2008, the Hamas destroyed many parts of the wall acting as a border between Gaza and Egypt in order to fetch oil, food, and necessary products.
